 The Dutch Oven Society will be at the Oregon Trail Days cooking, passing out samples and talking about dutch ovens. We will be playing our kids game about foods on the Oregon Trail. Our cookbooks, supplementals (extra recipes) and cutting boards will be available to purchase. The Yard Birds in the Grub Box Chuckwagon will also be onsite. Come see the antique wagon

Wapato Park, Tacoma, WA  

Bring your own popup canopy, cooking tables and gear, your own charcoal, your recipe and ingredients, serving spoons/etc for your cooked dish, chairs, and your own drinks. Anything else that might make you comfortable.

Host will provide paper plates, napkins, eating utensils and bottled water.

If you want to cook but don't have gear, please let us know and we'll bring an extra oven that you can borrow and we'll help you cook if you're new this type of cooking.

If you want to see what we are all about and don't want to cook, it's OK to bring a prepared dish to share.

 Cook-off: (no registration needed - just show up)
1. Start cooking anytime that morning.
2. 11am local band that will be on stage
3. Must be cooked in cast iron (skillets, dutch ovens, anything cast iron)
4. All pots (all categories) must be on the table at 3pm for judging.
5. 4 categories (enter as many as you'd like, you can even enter in more than one of the same category)
a. Main Dish
b. Side Dish
c. Dessert
d. Bread
6. Provide generous portions of dishes (to serve 8-10 people). as the public will be invited to potluck with us after the judging is done.
