Started in 1989, the Northwest Dutch Oven Society, a cooking and camping club, provides training seminars, demos, and workshops to re-introduce Dutch oven cooking as an alternative way of cooking for hunting, camping and picnicking or when the power goes out..  We feel that the best way to promote Dutch oven cooking is to be in the public eye and have FUN while we are doing it.  Our members include former Scoutmasters, Scouts and families. We are in the greater Puget Sound WA area.  We have members in Pierce, King, Thurston, Snohomish & Lewis Counties.

We are a small cooking and camping club based out of Pierce County, WA.
Our members include everyone from seasoned Scout Masters and Scouts to chefs. Families and singles. Beginning cooks and those who cook full time in Cast Iron.
We encourage all levels of experience to attend our events.
Some members don't camp.  Some members don't cook.  But we all like to join in the fun!   We are a very casual group and love trying new recipes out on each other.
